The CLUE partners met for the first time after the project was started on 1 January 2022 officially to kick-off their new project. Due to COVID restrictions, the meeting was held in a hybrid format with partner representatives meeting at the site of the coordinator, VITO in Mol.
CLUE aims to develop the next generation CO2 electrolyzers for sustainable production of ethylene with reduced carbon footprint by designing novel, selective and highly robust electrocatalysts using an innovative approach based on Cluster Beam Deposition (CBD) technology.
During the Kick-off, the spokesperson from Catalisti gave an overview of the Moonshot trajectory of the projects and the expectations from CLUE consortium. Afterwards, the researchers actively exchanged ideas on the collaboration modalities, recruitment of the project staff, first experiments and the communication plan that will apply over the next 4 years.
The meeting resulted in a clear roadmap for the coming period and we will update soon with all the new developments and exciting science that will happen with collaboration of all partners.
